Position Summary
The Manager, Prospect Research & Analytics is a data-driven leader who advances fundraising effectiveness through prospect research, analytics, and actionable insights. Reporting to the Director, Development Operations, this position leads a small team responsible for development operations support while serving as a key partner in identifying major gift prospects, delivering fundraising analytics, and ensuring the integrity and effective use of donor data.
This role is ideal for an experienced prospect research, advancement services, or development operations professional who enjoys transforming data into insights that support fundraising success.
What You'll Do

Lead prospect research efforts to identify, evaluate, and prioritize major gift prospects.

Develop donor profiles, event briefs, wealth assessments, and research summaries to support fundraising activities.

Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that provide actionable fundraising insights.

Manage and develop Development Operations staff responsible for constituent data management and gift processing.

Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of donor and constituent data within Tessitura.

Oversee gift processing activities and support compliance with organizational and donor requirements.

Collaborate with fundraising staff and leadership to support prospect management, portfolio reviews, and pipeline development efforts.

Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, reporting, and data quality across the Development division.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Five years of progressively responsible experience in prospect research, development operations, advancement services, fundraising analytics, database administration, or a related field.

Experience working with CRM systems, reporting tools, and data analysis.

Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information and communicate meaningful insights.
Preferred Qualifications

Supervisory or team leadership experience.

Experience in a nonprofit, higher education, healthcare, arts, cultural, or philanthropic organization.

Experience with Tessitura or a comparable CRM platform.

Experience with prospect research tools and wealth screening platforms.

APRA, CFRE, CAP®, or related professional certification.
