POSITION SUMMARY Colonial Group, Inc. is a multigenerational, family-owned parent company of a variety of subsidiaries. The Financial Analyst position will be responsible for providing financial analyses, recommendations, and support for Colonial Group and will act as a liaison between accounting and operations. The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly motivated employee who will be excited to learn about the business and grow with the finance department. JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES Work with the Director of FP&A in developing and refining processes to improve financial analysis and reporting across Colonial’s subsidiary companies. Partner with the leaders and operations teams to better understand the business. Partner with accounting to collect and analyze financial data turning it into actionable insights. Identify and/or develop key indicators impacting performance and results. Build and maintain models in Excel to support financial modeling, reporting, and analysis. Closely analyze monthly sales and track margin performance. Support the continued development of the annual fiscal year budget and forecasting process. Review and analyze trends (revenues, costs, inventories, etc.) Identify areas to automate reporting and eliminate duplication. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree is required (finance, accounting, business, math, etc.) A working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, XLookup, etc) The candidate should be comfortable learning new software platforms; prior exposure to JD Edwards and Power BI is helpful but not required Verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills are required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
