Hunton Rental Solutions, a division of Hunton Group in Houston, TX, has a new and exciting opportunity for you to join our organization as a Field Technician III - HVAC. The selected candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and operation of temporary HVAC and cooling equipment. This role supports customer projects across a variety of industries by ensuring rental equipment is maintained to the highest standards and deployed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on rental HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair air-cooled chillers, water-cooled chillers, air conditioners, spot coolers, air handlers, pumps, and associated accessories.
- Conduct equipment startup, commissioning, operational testing, and performance verification.
- Diagnose electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and control system issues.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Support equipment installation, setup, operation, and demobilization at customer sites.
- Calculate cooling requirements and assist with equipment selection and application support.
- Inspect, test, and prepare equipment for deployment to customer projects.
- Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and repair records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment safely and professionally.
- Support emergency response mobilizations and after-hours customer service requests as needed.
- Work independently or alongside other technicians to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide exceptional customer service while representing Hunton Rental Solutions in the field.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 7–10 years of experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC equipment.
- Strong knowledge of chillers, air conditioners, air handlers, refrigeration systems, and temporary cooling equipment.
- Ability to calculate cooling loads, nominal tonnage, effective tonnage, and electrical requirements.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and control systems.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
- Experience with low-temperature applications is preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime, after-hours, weekends, and participate in emergency response activities as needed.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Ability to travel locally daily using a company-provided vehicle.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and respond to emergency service requirements as needed.
