Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our clients in Fishers, IN.
C195634 Job Information: Two individual classes for a couple, back-to-back lessons requested
- Availability: Saturday and Sunday 12pm-4pm (Eastern Time)
- Lesson Location: Fishers, IN 46038 (near Thomas A. Weaver Municipal Complex on 1 Municipal Dr)
- Preferred start date: ASAP
- Lesson Frequency: Once or twice per weekend
- Lesson Duration: 1 hour for each
- Current target language level: High intermediate
- Language spoken at home: Korean
- Student’s language needs and goals:
- He would like to improve his English skills to achieve fluency, and she is planning to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in a clinical‑trial–related department at a company such as Lilly. The main skill she wants to improve is her listening, as this is the area where she feels least confident. It’s unclear whether this difficulty comes from limited vocabulary related to everyday life.
- She prefers structured lessons guided by a clear lesson plan. She would like the teacher to briefly explain the plan at the start or end of each class, so she knows what to expect and how each lesson connects to her goals.
She mainly studied English for test preparation such as TOPIK, TOEIC, and the Korean SAT rather than for daily-life communication. She didn’t mention any particular dislikes or enjoyable aspects of her English learning experience; her feelings about it seemed mostly neutral.
Additional information: Some of her interests are investments and parenting.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
- Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
- Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
- Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
Qualifications:
- To have native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
- To have a degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field
- To have a minimum of two years of ESL teaching experience
