Job Description
The Granite Club is looking for a full time Food & Beverage Supervisor who will provide a comprehensive rotational schedule to the individuals with an interest in pursuing a managerial career role in the Food & Beverage industry. The rotational schedule will be based on business in the Banquets, Restaurants, Reservations, Intersections, and Events Office.

Primary Responsibilities
Ensure complete uniform and grooming appearance of Staff are to standard.
Accurate recording and submission of time sheets is completed daily when required.
Thoroughly inspects all event and/or dining rooms are to standard, BEO specification, and cleanliness.
Correct handling of BEO’s, change logs, staffing requirements and associated paperwork.
Conduct Staff service briefings when assigned.
Inspect equipment and arrange for repairs as required.
Promote teamwork and two-way communication.
Assist Managers with the overall departmental goals.
Liaise with the Executive Chef, Kitchen management and Staff where required.
Assist with Inventories.
Responsible for Bars when directed
Ensure compliance with the Liquor Laws of Ontario.
Able to assist with service, and/or use Point-of-Sale during high volumes of business.
Communicate with the Department Managers of all activities to receive input and direction.
Supervises the service Staff to ensure Member satisfaction standards are consistently attained.
Is involved in receiving, greeting & seating of Members and guests in the Restaurants or private dining areas.
Coordinates food and bar service involving communication between kitchen, bar and service staff.
Assists with service of food & beverages when required.
Handles and reports all feedback, positive and negative, from Members and Staff, as they arise.
Ability to carry out all opening and closing duties each Food and Beverage department responsible for.
Assists Managers with the budgeting process.
Actively assist to develop and execute goals and directives from upper management with confidentiality.
Addressing members by their names at all times. Communicating Member names to Managers and Servers if required.
In Reservations, setting dining rooms prior to meal periods, and organizing daily functions and notifying Restaurant Managers.
Other duties as assigned or required.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2-Year Diploma in Hotel or Restaurant Management.
Able to make quick and correct decisions while working under pressure in a changing environment.
Detailed orientated and able to multi-task.
Self-motivated and team-orientated; take the lead where required.
Be able to work all shifts – including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Good working knowledge of computers – MS Office programs, Abacus/Northstar Club system.
Smart Serve certification required.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $54, 237 to $60, 000.
