The location in Miami, (Florida, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Forklift Driver Mill. This job is full-time permanent.

 

  1. Summary
    • Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, load/ unload material stack and count merchandise within the shipping and receiving department.  This role ensures that products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment while adhering to company policies and safety regulations.

 

  1. Major Responsibilities

The position includes but it is not limited to the following tasks:

 

  • Operate Forklifts truck to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials.
  •  Efficiently move products from receiving areas to designated storage locations
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to the schedule (load, pack, label ship)
  • Perform inspections on incoming shipments to ensure correct quantity and quality
  • Verify and complete shipping documents and records in accordance with company procedures.
  • Perform daily equipment checks to ensure proper operating conditions and immediately reports any malfunctions.
  • Maintaining the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training.
  • Conduct inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies
  • Assist with other warehouse and logistics tasks as needed.
  • Support continuous improvements initiatives related to workflow and efficiency.

  1. Qualifications
  • High school - Diploma or GED preferred but no required
  • Valid Forklift Certification or ability to obtain certification prior starting.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manual
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities under time sensitive circumstances
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for long periods.

  1. Work Environment:
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing setting.
  • Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
  • Monday to Saturday.

Lock-out-Tag-out.
