Job Description:
- Loads and unloads company trucks, inspects equipment prior to shipment and on return for serviceability, ensuring all shipping / receiving documentation procedures are followed
- Washing and/or performing light maintenance and/or repairs covering all areas of our rental fleet
- Receives order request and preps orders for shipment
- Inspects equipment pre and post rental to ensure all equipment is in proper working condition
- Maintains yard organization and cleanliness to align with Finning's housekeeping and safety standards
- Moves rental ready equipment back to proper storage areas following routine maintenance procedures
- Assist customers and delivery drivers in yard, loading and unloading rental equipment; helping direct them to office or unloading areas
- Gives customers start/stop and general operating instructions on rental equipment
- Perform other related duties as requested.
- General clean up of shop, yard and machines
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum three months of operating experience of rough terrain forklift, counterbalance forklift, compact construction equipment, large construction equipment
- Mechanically inclined, self-starter ability to follow directions, work well within a team environment and contribute positively to a team environment
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work successfully under minimal supervision
- Past experience in a maintenance shop environment, mechanical experience, and forklift certification would be considered assets
Important Information:
- This position is based in Kamloops, BC on a 7x7 rotation. (Dayshift)
- Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement
