MUS 2211: Individual Instruction - Violin
The College of Humanities, Education and the Arts seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Individual Instruction for Violin. This course provides an opportunity for students to participate in private lessons and practice a high level of repertoire on the violin. May be repeated for an unlimited number of credits.
Adjunct educators are hired on a contractual, part-time basis, for specified quarters throughout an academic year. Duties include developing syllabi and assignments, teaching classes and assessing student performance.
Requirements:
· Doctoral degree in Music, or
· Terminal degree in related field, or excellent instructional skills
· A personal commitment to Christian faith, enthusiasm about supporting SPU's mission, alignment with the University's Statement of Faith, and willingness to accept the lifestyle standards of the Christian community.
· A comfortability discussing the intersection of faith and music with students
Compensation:
The salary for adjunct faculty is $876/credit in the College of Humanities, Education and the Arts.
