
Operator - MBO
Job Description
Operator/Mechanic will operate heavy equipment needed with bulk material handling such as a front-end loader, forklifts, sweeper, skid steer, etc. Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Do
Educational requirements:
(minimal requirements and any additional education or training that would helpful)
High school diploma or GED
Job requirements:
(specific experience, skills, knowledge, certifications, licenses, competencies, working conditions)
• Must have a good mechanical aptitude
• Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as front end loaders, forklifts, sweeper operation and conveyors
• Must have knowledge and experience with packaging and palletizing equipment; must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions majority of the time will be working outside
• The ability to work from written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules, as well as take on other duties as assigned
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
• Typical hours for this position are 7:00am to 3:30pm with flexibility to work 2nd shift on occasion.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
• Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance
• Positively interact with customers and respond to customer inquiries
• Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems, and other company software)
Physical requirements include but are not limited to:
• Able to lift as much as 50 lbs. as high as waist level
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and raise your body weight as high as four feet
• Must not have a fear of water or heights
• The ability to swim is a plus
• Ability to take initiative and work with coworkers to accomplish defined goals in a fast-paced environment
• Successful completion of validated testing, background check and drug screen upon offer
Preferred experience, skills and knowledge:
(above the minimum requirements; not required, but advantageous in this position)
• CDL a plus but not required
