Job Description

"System Engineering (Effect Chain Mapping) -

  • Deep understanding to handle IBM Rhapsody and similar tools for Effect Chain mapping.
  • Excellent understanding of Software Update Management process & Doorman process
  • Ability to conduct training session for larger audience
  • Clarity to map ECU, components, software and are mapped according to regulations to achieve SUMS certification
  • Good understanding of all ECU’s which is regulation relevant.
  • Detailed awareness of all regulations and implications on overall product quality
  • ZKU (Zertifikatskonformität Überprüfung)-Validate software part numbers for all carlines in WESP &
  • Ensure certificates meet SUMS-related regulatory standards.
  • All Mercedes Vanlines and related SUMS dependency awareness
  • Awareness of different country specific SUMS regulations and effect chain mapping.
  • Support country specific audits (eg: China audit) by demonstrating Effect Chain Mapping, resulting in zero nonconformity’s (NCs).
  • Clear awareness of KEM documentation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

About 0 to 3 years of experience in product data management for Automotive components. Must have worked with Global Companies (German OEMs/Tier 1s preferred).Expertise in engineering BOM and structure level. Knowledge on any PLM tool and basic life cycle

Education:

B.E (Mechanical / Production/Automotive)

Relevant Experience Required:

About 0 to 3 years of experience in product data management for Automotive components. Must have worked with Global Companies (German OEMs/Tier 1s preferred)

Requirements:

Technical competence:

• Experience in the field of product documentation in OEM’s / Tier 1 suppliers

• Expertise in engineering BOM and structure level

• Should have good knowledge on any PLM tool and basic life cycle of parts release.

• In depth understanding of automotive systems i.e., functional relationships of automotive systems and components

• Good understanding of product development process (planning, development, production, pre and after sales etc…)

• Knowledge of “Mercedes Benz” cars portfolio will be an added advantage

 

Professional skills:

• Ability to interact and work with the German teams

• German communication is desirable

• Good team playing skills and ability to work independently with little supervision

• Knowledge of “Mercedes Benz” cars portfolio will be an added advantage

• Excellent in communication and coordination

• Demonstrate excellent analytical and assertive skills

• Good in MS Excel and power point presentation skills

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform Product Data Management/Release tasks based on customer requirement

• Creating BOM and maintaining product documentation for all Mercedes-Benz - car lines by understanding business requirements and interacting with German counter parts

• Consultation with design engineers and understand the intent of engineering change notice. Perform standard part creation using UnigraphicsNX

• Cross functional responsibility to coordinate with process and method team and maintain quality standards as required

• Ensure knowledge is shared across the team members

• To manage risks and issues impacting project deliverables

• Seamless integration with the Team in India & Germany
