Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Manager, Packaging Engineering to support our Twin Falls Operations team. This role is focused on manufacturing floor execution, equipment performance, and reliability- ensuring packaging systems run efficiently and consistently at high levels of OEE. This position is embedded in plant operations and focused on execution, troubleshooting, and performance
This leader will serve as a self-starter and technical problem solver, working closely with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to troubleshoot issues, stabilize performance, and drive performance improvement across packaging lines. The role also plays a critical part in transitioning packaging systems from new product development into day-to-day operations, ensuring solutions are scalable, sustainable, and operationally sound.
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in corrugate, sleeves, and overwrap systems, along with experience managing supplier execution and packaging specifications.
*This is an onsite role in our Twin Falls, Idaho plant and is not eligible for remote/hybrid schedules, relocation assistance is available.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Floor-Based Operations & Troubleshooting
- Act as a hands-on, floor-based leader supporting daily packaging operations
- Diagnose and resolve equipment, material, and process issues in real time
- Partner closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to drive line stability and performance
- Own and drive improvements in OEE, uptime, and waste reduction
Packaging Systems Expertise
- Serve as SME for secondary and tertiary packaging, with a strong focus on:
- Corrugate (cases, trays, structural performance)
- Sleeves
- Overwrap systems
- Optimize the interaction between equipment, materials, and process conditions to improve overall line performance
Start-Up, Validation & Continuous Improvement
- Support line start-ups, commissioning, and validation activities
- Identify and drive solutions to chronic losses and inefficiencies
- Lead performance improvement initiatives focused on throughput, cost, and reliability
Supplier Execution & Specifications
- Own packaging specifications and ensure proper execution with suppliers
- Build and manage strong relationships with key suppliers (e.g., corrugate vendors such as PCA)
- Drive supplier quality, performance, and accountability
- Ensure materials consistently meet performance expectations in live production environments
Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as a key technical partner to Plant Leadership, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Procurement
- Lead and develop packaging engineering talent
- Influence decisions that improve plant performance and packaging capabilities
Requirements
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Mechanical, or related Engineering field

7+ years of experience in packaging engineering within a manufacturing environment

2+ years of leadership experience a plus

Strong, hands-on experience supporting high-speed production lines

The salary range for this full-time position is $130,500.00 - $205,700.00, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
