Substitute Teacher

Carbon County School District #1 seeks reliable and enthusiastic substitute teachers to provide temporary classroom instruction in the absence of regular teaching staff. Substitute teachers maintain continuity of instruction and ensure a safe, productive learning environment for students in grades K-12.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans and instructional materials prepared by the regular classroom teacher
• Maintain classroom management and established routines
• Supervise students in classroom and other school settings
• Take attendance and maintain accurate records
• Report student progress, behavior concerns, and classroom events to the regular teacher and administration
• Enforce school and district policies, rules, and procedures
• Ensure student safety and well-being throughout the school day

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must obtain a Substitute Teaching Permit from the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB)
• Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and abilities
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom environments

Compensation

$145 per day
