Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is looking for a Staff Structural Design Engineer with experience in Design and integration in the Aerospace industry to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role is located in Melbourne, FL. This position is fully onsite with no remote work available.
Develop ICDs, layouts, and drawings for antenna placements and installations. NX modeling and equipment integration. Work with suppliers for integration activities.
Experience in structural design, knowledge of materials (composites/metals), and an understanding of aircraft manufacturing processes.
You may be required to attend or present at internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.

Basic Qualifications:
Must possess a Bachelor’s of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 12 years of related engineering experience OR Master’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 10 years of related engineering experience.
Must have an active In-Scope DoD Secret clearance.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Active In-Scope DoD Top Secret clearance.
Must have Supplier Management Team (SMT) experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
An active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience with the design, analysis and integration of environmental control systems.
Software tools experience with NX and/or CPLM
Experience interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures.
Experience writing/reviewing technical documents: SSOWs, SRDs, ICDs, SDRL reviews, etc.
Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex technical solutions, within cost and schedule constraints, across the various phases of the engineering lifecycle.
