Position Summary

Serve as a member of OBH Leadership Team.

Facilitates and/or provides support for management of projects spanning multiple levels of complexity for Outer Banks Health.

Collaborates with OBH and ECUH leaders, vendors, and contractors, assuring communication of project management activities and appropriate utilization of resources.

Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

Leadership Team Contribution: Actively contribute as a member of the OBH Leadership Team, providing strategic input on facilities, infrastructure, and long-range planning to support workforce sustainability, patient experience, and community trust.

Participate in various committees and forums involving project development.

Provide direct project management of OBH small scale construction activities

Provides support to system project management teams processes that include:

Planning & Resource Stewardship: Collaborate with OBH leadership and ECUH system teams on projects of varying size and complexity and differing scope and scale to include funding prioritization, sequencing, and lifecycle planning, balancing urgency with capital strategy and fiscal stewardship

Financial: Provide support for bid packages, pay requests, change orders, purchase orders and cost estimates as needed.

Development: Site plans, floor plans, outline specifications, and user group activities

Regulatory and Operational: Oversee construction and renovation activities with a strong focus on operational continuity, agency communications and inspections, patient and staff safety, ILSM, and minimizing disruption.

System-Level Collaboration: Serve as a liaison and collaborate with system project managers and external contractors, ensuring alignment with system standards, shared tools, capital governance processes, and enterprise timelines while advocating for OBH-specific operational needs.

Emergency Preparedness & Resiliency: Incorporate emergency preparedness, storm hardening, evacuation readiness, and infrastructure resiliency into project planning and execution in alignment with OBH¿s coastal location and disaster response role.

Vendor, Contractor, and System Partner Coordination: Coordinate vendors and contractors in partnership with ECUH system resources to ensure consistency in contracting practices, performance expectations, and quality outcomes while addressing OBH-specific logistical constraints.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher.

5 years healthcare project management experience and PMP certification.

Or 10 years healthcare project management experience if no PMP certification.

$79664.00 - $116116.00

About The Outer Banks Hospital

The Outer Banks Hospital is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The 21-bed facility is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season. Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.
