COMPANY OVERVIEW: PGI is a privately held company, established in 1996. We are a leading supplier of private label solutions in the automotive industry. Our focus is on designing, manufacturing and distributing products for automotive, diesel, power-sports and specialty filter markets. Our supply chain network now branches across the Pacific and into South America. Job Purpose: In addition to functioning as a working member of the distribution team, the team leader adds value to the team by assisting the supervisor in various administrative and daily operational tasks. The team leader also provides guidance and support to team members in order to expedite efficient and accurate receipt, warehousing and shipment of finished goods, while maintaining a safe work environment. May perform other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities |

Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Experience in distribution position would be preferred. Communication: Effectively convey information to a variety of individuals; listen, understand and retain information and process feedback; explain procedures and processes to train team members on various job duties. In-person interaction with co-workers and supervisors.
Learning/Reading/Mathematical Comprehension: Perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Learn and comprehend standard operating procedures and basic warehousing techniques in order to follow and explain these to others and also make some independent judgment. Read and write at high school level in order to maintain records, complete required paperwork and reports, and access, enter and change information on the computer. Determine warehouse locations using alpha-numeric coding system. Visual Requirements: Visually locate materials in warehouse. Read handheld scanning instruments. Motor Skills: Hand-eye coordination to operate motorized equipment in close quarters on a regular basis. Regularly required to stand/sit for long periods of time. Frequently walks to, from and within work areas. Frequently bends, pushes/pulls and reaches with hands and arms. Lifts/pushes/pulls up to 35 lbs. Master skills necessary to relieve, assist and train team members. Environment: Work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, possible temperature extremes, dirt, solvents, paper dust, etc. Special Skills: Human relations and leadership skills. Establish rapport and recognize the interests and needs of others. Foster teamwork. This would include temperament under stress conditions when dealing with others and the ability to gain cooperation and respect of team members. Inspire motivation and encourage others towards continuous improvement. Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment as required by Powered Industrial Equipment Program to acquire and maintain license. Dependability: Maintain satisfactory record of attendance and conduct. Work any shift and overtime as required.
