Job Description:
The Leader Aftermarket-Operations- Remanufactured Products is directly responsible for the strategic planning and execution of day-to-day Operations of Allison’s remanufactured products portfolio. This position will work in close collaboration with the Purchasing department on the sourcing of 3rd party remanufacturing suppliers, with Allison Operations Quality and PDC to deliver on portfolio and supply chain objectives, and importantly align to deliver on portfolio development objectives with Aftermarket Sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Key vendor relationships - Develop, manage, and execute strategic direction and capability with 3rd Party vendors for Allison Transmission’s portfolio of remanufactured products.
- Execute remanufacturing operations with Vendors to assure appropriate cost-management and capacity availability to meet Allison specs on product quality and delivery.
- Actively manage and be responsible for Order-to Delivery between Allison PDC and Remanufacturing unit / 3rd party vendor
- Manage and execute Core purchase and vendor relationships. Establish and manage the process including eligibility and assure continued core availability.
- Work closely with Aftermarket team to understand and to ensure 3rd Party vendors prioritize, implement and deliver on product portfolio and availably objectives of remanufactured products release & sales targets.
- Implement processes at Vendor(s) to improve root cause analysis and collaborate with internal teams (Warranty and Quality) to implement an improvement plan.
- Implement cost reduction, reclaim/salvage projects to improve remanufactured product profitability.
- Track, analyze and share with leadership key remanufacturing quality and business metrics and improvement plans.
Key Performance Measures:
- Achieve vendor Operational success of Vendors – Quality, Cost, Capacity, Profitability and Order to Delivery
- Grow and scale operations to meet business needs in a timely manner
- Requisite audits and metrics are analysed and shared
- Appropriate business continuity measures are in-place via thorough contract reviews and engagement
- Periodic and timely communication & decision venues are established and used to manage all aspects of Operations – MSS, Quality, PDC & Purchasing

Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA Preferred
- Ability to negotiate with, manage, and coordinate selected supplier activity.
- Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with internal and external partners.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in leading Operations
- Proficient in reporting and analysis to support decision making.
Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Technology, Business
- 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing, re-manufacturing and/or operations.
Preferred:
- Knowledge and experience with Allison Transmission products.
Will need to travel to vendor locations as required.
