Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Technician Supervisor to lead maintenance operations involving CSafe temperature-controlled containers. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, leadership experience, and the ability to oversee daily repair activities while ensuring compliance with applicable Civil Aviation Authority standards and company safety procedures.

This role is responsible for supervising technicians, conducting training, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring all equipment is repaired, tested, and released in accordance with established procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the daily activities of maintenance technicians.
  • Assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Provide employee training, safety briefings, and demonstrations of CSafe containers.
  • Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct internal audits and support regulatory and customer audits as required.
  • Receive, inspect, test, repair, and release CSafe containers.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
  • Replace defective components and reassemble equipment according to maintenance documentation.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Prepare containers for shipment, including cleaning, inspection, and packaging.
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety programs, including STOP safety procedures.
  • Promote and maintain Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles throughout the facility.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet applications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in aviation maintenance, electrical systems, refrigeration systems, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience required.
  • Certifying Staff (C/S) experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking, standing, carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, stretching, and lifting.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods on a concrete floor.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Work Environment

  • Industrial repair facility environment.
  • Occasional travel (typically less than 10%).
  • Overtime, including evenings and weekends, may be required based on operational and customer needs.
