VP/Director, Asset Management - San Francisco
Job Description
Harrison Street is seeking to hire a Vice President or Director within the Asset Management department focused on investments. This role will be responsible for overseeing an evolving portfolio that will initially consist primarily of office buildings and residential apartment communities, with the composition of the portfolio evolving as new investments are made and existing assets are sold. While most assets will be existing operational properties, the portfolio may also include ground up developments and major redevelopments.
The Asset Manager will lead the development and execution of asset level business plans, working closely with local operating partners and third‑party property service providers. This individual will serve as the primary internal point of responsibility at Harrison Street for assigned investments, including recommendations on major strategic decisions, quarterly valuations, annual reforecasting and budgeting, hold/sell analyses, and client reporting.
Candidates should possess substantial experience in asset management, capital markets (including debt financing and property dispositions), financial analysis, leasing, and development oversight, along with a strong foundation in real estate investing and management fundamentals. With a minimum of eight years of real estate experience, the ideal candidate will be a strategic, collaborative team player with strong analytical and financial skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment and demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
