Job Description
Each day, you’ll load the tanker from the bulk facility to prepare for your deliveries Conducting thorough pre and post trip inspections will be part of your routine to ensure safety and compliance You’ll maintain driver logs using the truck’s onboard computer system, also known as the electronic logging device Completing and keeping up with all required training will help you stay current and effective in your role Daily delivery logs and other necessary reports will need to be completed accurately and on time You’ll also handle monthly credit card reconciliations and any other reports promptly Holding a valid, incident-free provincial Class 3 or Class 1 Driver’s License is essential for this position Having liquid tanker commercial driving experience is a strong asset that will help you succeed You’ll use delivery technology like handheld computers and electronic logs, so being comfortable with these tools is important The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of your daily tasks Experience with Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System is considered a plus Navigating city driving, especially in tight quarters, will be part of your day-to-day work Above all, maintaining a Safety First mentality by staying alert to hazards and practicing safe driving is critical
