We’re seeking experienced Transformer Technician III professionals ready to take the next step—or continue building—an impactful career in the energy industry. In this hands‑on role, you’ll work on the front lines of critical U.S. power infrastructure, performing transformer assembly, oil processing, and on‑site service at power plants, substations, and industrial facilities nationwide.
You’ll collaborate with a skilled, safety‑driven team to install, maintain, and repair transformers from leading OEMs, all while gaining exposure to diverse projects and advancement opportunities within a fast‑growing organization that values your expertise.
 
What You’ll Do:
  • Assemble transformer components, including radiators, bushings, and conservators
  • Perform degassing, pressure, and vacuum testing using dehydrator units
  • Re-gasket units and fabricate gaskets and O-rings as needed
  • Assist in the teardown and prep of transformers for transport or disposal
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic wiring and mechanical issues
  • Complete assigned tasks and daily work orders on time and accurately
  • Operate and inspect tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment safely
  • Follow strict safety and PPE usage protocols due to noise, electrical hazards, and elevated work areas
  • Support the sales team by reporting project opportunities and customer leads
The Experience We’re Looking For:
  • 5–10 years of experience in transformer oil processing, service, or assembly
  • Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and online platforms
  • Clear, professional communication and ability to follow directions
  • Able to work independently while staying aligned with team goals
Additional Requirements:
  • Able to travel frequently (80%) with overnight stays as needed
  • Class A CDL, OSHA training, and/ or a TWIC card
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must pass a DOT physical exam
  • Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Available for extended and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays
Bonus Points for:
  • Hold a DOT medical certification
  • Prior experience working around energized equipment or substations
