Elementary Special Class Program Teacher 
Autism and Preschool Positions Available:  08/27/2026 - 06/30/2027

Qualifications:

• Teacher of Elementary Certificate and Teacher of Students with Disabilities required OR Teacher of the Handicapped certificate required
• Experience with multi-grade self-contained setting preferred
• Experience with behavior plans preferred
• Experience with modifying curriculum to meet needs of students in self- contained setting preferred
• Experience with assistive technology preferred
• Experience with children with autism preferred
• Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
• BCBA or BCaBA preferred
• Experience with Program Books and Data Collection preferred
• Knowledge/evidence of implementation of best practices for supporting an inclusive environment and opportunities for students preferred
• Knowledge of Least Restrictive Environment regulations preferred
• Knowledge of Google for Education preferred

Terms of Employment:

• Terms pursuant to the MTEA Collective Bargaining agreement
• Salary range:  $60,673 - $126,533 (as per the negotiated contract and commensurate with experience)
• Benefits:  Full-time employees are eligible for medical, prescription and dental benefits on the first day of hire.
