The Opportunity

As a Senior Engineer/Scientist in Electrochemical Method Development, you will be the primary owner of analytical performance specifications for Blood Gas and Electrolyte (BGE) parameters. You will work at the intersection of electrochemistry, advanced mathematics, and medical technology to ensure our diagnostic systems deliver clinical excellence.

  • Innovate Measurement Methods: Define and optimize electrochemical and optical measurement methods, collaborating across sensor, hardware, and software teams to push the boundaries of diagnostic precision.

  • Master Mathematical Modeling: Create robust models for measurement and calibration, translating complex physical principles into precise signal interpretation algorithms.

  • Drive Algorithmic Progress: Apply modern development techniques, including model-based design and machine learning, to continuously improve data workflows and diagnostic accuracy.

  • Solve Issues: Conduct deep-dive scientific investigations into product issues, developing innovative remedial solutions to maintain peak performance.

  • Engineer Performance: Manage tolerance budgets and control all influence factors on analytical results, ensuring strict traceability to global reference materials.

  • Lead System Validation: Spearhead the planning and execution of functional and stability tests, using statistical characterization to evaluate system-wide results.

  • Solve Complex Challenges: Conduct deep-dive scientific investigations into real-world product issues, developing innovative remedial solutions to maintain peak performance.


Who You Are

You are a scientifically driven expert who values technical rigor and thrives in interdisciplinary environments. You are passionate about applying your expertise to solve challenges that directly impact patient health.

  • Academic Excellence: You hold a Master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field (e.g., Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics)

  • Experience: You ​have 7+ years of professional industry related experience.

  • IVD Specialist: You bring deep knowledge of In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) and the specific requirements for analyzing biological samples.

  • Standards Expert: You are experienced in working within international guidelines such as ISO 13485, CLSI guidelines for analytical performance, and Risk Management (FMEA).

  • Data-Driven Thinker: You possess strong skills in mathematical and statistical analysis, with a proactive, hands-on mentality toward solving complex problems.

  • Technical Communicator: You excel at presenting complex scientific results to international teams and have a high standard for technical documentation.

  • Collaborative Mindset: You enjoy working in a regulated, agile environment and have an open mindset toward continuous learning and cross-functional teamwork.

  • Communication Skills: Fluent English is required. ​
