Group Summary:

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:

As our Health & Safety Coordinator, you鈥檒l work closely with leadership and employees across the facility to develop safety programs, drive continuous improvement, and help ensure every team member goes home safe.

馃挵 Compensation Range: 70k-100k/per year, depending on experience/qualifications.


 

馃 What You鈥檒l Do

  • Develop and implement health & safety policies and programs

  • Coordinate employee safety training, fire prevention, and loss control

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA/MIOSHA, ADA, and fire code regulations

  • Lead and support the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)

  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments

  • Coordinate ergonomic evaluations and Magna corporate safety audits

  • Develop Lockout/Tagout procedures and employee training

  • Create confined space procedures and training programs

  • Maintain OSHA reporting and safety documentation

  • Coordinate PPE procurement, including safety glasses and equipment

  • Manage drug testing, pre-employment screenings, and annual health testing programs

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety
     

What We鈥檙e Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years of safety experience preferred, ideally in injection molding or paint/manufacturing environments

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

  • Strong computer and documentation skills

  • A team player who is passionate about creating a safe work environment
     

Education Requirements

  • Associate鈥檚 Degree in a related field required
