Job Description
- Provides Respiratory Therapy treatment to all patients as directed in accordance with best practices and department standards
- Interviews and examines patients with breathing related disorders
- Records patient treatment, response, and progress
- Inspects, tests, maintains, and operates respiratory therapy equipment
- Performs chest examinations as needed
- Consult with physicians to develop patient treatment plans
- Monitor and record patients' progress
- Provides guidance and education to all staff members and patients regarding respiratory care
- Ability to succeed in situations under pressure while maintaining patience, tact and endurance
- Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Graduate of an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the state of Michigan
- Must have BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications or obtain certification within 90 days of employment
- Ability to perform Respiratory Therapy procedures independently and have superior problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively educate others
- Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
