Account Manager - Personal Care

Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION:

Responsible for account management and all sales activities of assigned personal care accounts in Northeast US region (NJ, NY, MD, VT, MA, CT). Remote /home office-based position, based in NY or NJ.

RESPONSIBILITIES: ​

  • Present and sell Company and Principal ingredients to established territory.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  • Develop strategies to manage the customer account, setting goals, action plans and objectives to be accomplished.
  • Interact and communicate with clients on a regular basis to determine changing needs and preferences.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Develop technical product knowledge of portfolio.
  • Understand Principal products offered and their value/benefits to customers
  • Determine effective negotiation and sales strategies.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Prepare a variety of call reports, project pipelines, follow-ups, and adherence to goals.
  • Participate in industry related marketing events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: ​

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related technical field and at least 3+ years of personal care ingredient sales experience.

Must possess the abilities to persuade and influence others, develop and deliver presentations, as well as compose and edit written materials. Familiar with customer management systems, i.e. Salesforce.

Must be willing and able to regularly travel regionally to include overnight travel.

Yearly Salary Range: $90,000-120,000 USD

Must possess current US employment authorization; sponsorship not available for this position.​
