Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Tops/Knits Finish Engineer to lead finishing development and bulk execution across knit product categories. This role is responsible for ensuring that all finishes meet required aesthetic, quality, and compliance standards while achieving cost and lead-time targets. The position plays a critical role in bridging product development and bulk production, ensuring consistency, reproducibility, and first-time-right execution. Should be able to handle lab dips and garment dyeing.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage finish development from product development to bulk production, ensuring quality, cost, lead time, and execution targets are met.
- Strong understanding of garment finishing, fabric development, testing standards, and bulk production processes within the Tops/Knitwear category.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve on-time delivery, testing compliance, risk mitigation, and LS&Co. standards.
- Develop and source finishes as per design briefs, targeting first-time approvals and quick turnaround.
- Ensure products meet testing, RSL, aesthetic, reproducibility, and cost requirements.
- Maintain and update development systems, including PLM, GPPTL, formulas, and digital records.
- Drive timely CS execution and adherence to GTM calendar milestones.
- Conduct risk assessments at FLA and CS stages to support smooth production.
- Review and approve lab dips, fabric developments, strike-offs, handlooms, and related submissions.
- Support vendors with updated testing standards, requirements, and capability enhancements.
- Establish and approve bulk finish tolerance limits in line with LS&Co. standards.
- Assess vendor capabilities and capacity, and coordinate production planning with cross-functional teams. Establish Quality process controls at laundry to ensure first time right product and also to avoid higher finish rejections at laundry.
- Ensure bulk production meets LS&Co. testing standards and approved FTL(SHADE BANDS).
- Develop & educate one NFE per vendor with defined guidelines of LS&Co. requirements
- Interactions with SSM teams & Skill communications required to Communicate with SFO LS & CO office and attend conference calls
Location: Lahore, Pakistan
Experience: 5–8 years. Must have a hands-on experience managing Tops/Knitwear product development and finishing from development through bulk production.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Chemical Technology, or a related field
