CRIC Tour Volunteer

Volunteer Description:

Mission of the role: to create a positive first impression and provide an informative, welcoming experience for all guests participating in hospital tours through the CRIC program.

The Volunteer Tour Guide serves as a welcoming ambassador for the hospital by providing guided tours to individuals and groups who have been preselected through CRIC. Tour guides help visitors become familiar with the hospital environment, services, and culture while ensuring a positive and professional experience.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and provide a friendly, professional introduction to the hospital.
• Lead scheduled tours for individuals or groups preselected through CRIC.
• Share information about the hospital's mission, departments, and services.
• Answer general questions and direct visitors to appropriate resources when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient privacy standards.
• Ensure tours are conducted safely and respectfully without disrupting patient care.
• Represent the hospital in a positive and professional manner.
• Communicate with Volunteer Services staff regarding tour schedules and special accommodations.

Qualifications:

• Must be preselected by CRIC.
• Friendly, dependable, and comfortable speaking with individuals and groups.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to walk throughout the hospital and stand for extended periods.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following all hospital policies.
• Ability to provide a welcoming and inclusive experience for visitors of diverse backgrounds.
