Both the Food Services and Dietary teams collaborate to ensure all dietary restrictions are maintained and to keep our patient-centered values across all areas of the medical center.

About the Job:

The Receiver is responsible for receiving all merchandise deliveries for the food service department, unloading or unpacking it, marking it with codes to be identified, placing products in storage according to regulatory standards, stocking shelves, and assist in placing a variety of orders. Reconciles deliveries, checking invoices to orders placed and maintains a clean and orderly work environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
• Receives, lifts, moves, stores, issues, counts, sorts, weighs and verifies items on requisitions or invoices.
• Must adhere Food Safety policies and procedures, including recording of temperatures, proper food handling and storage, labelling and dating.
• Report all non-conformities to department management.
• Keep all storage areas clean & neat with proper labeling and rotation of products using First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
• Maintain Delivery log with proper dates and temperatures and refusal of any items to be documented.
• Participates in ensuring cleanliness of all areas within the department which may include but is not limited to cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas and performing extra cleaning as assigned.

Who You Are:

• 2 years’ experience in purchasing/ receiving or in food services
• ServSafe Certified within 90 days of hire
