About the Role

We are looking for a detail-loving, Excel and tech-savvy problem solver to join our ANZ HR team as a Senior/Payroll Specialist.

Working closely with HR and key stakeholders, you will manage end-to-end payroll processing, oversee payroll governance, and partner with our third-party provider to deliver high-quality outcomes. This position goes beyond processing payroll, offering exposure to awards interpretation, employee benefits, compliance reporting, people analytics, and some other exciting projects.

  • Manage end to end payroll processing monthly for Australia and New Zealand (including weekly and fortnightly cycles as required)
  • Accurately calculate allowances, overtime, deductions, leave, and other entitlements
  • Review and validate payroll outputs, identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and awards.
  • Troubleshoot and respond to employees and managers payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Investigate and resolve payroll-related issues, providing clear and effective solutions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes and efficiency
  • Support on payroll and people reporting requests (WGEA, Leave, etc)
  • Employee benefits management (novated lease, EAP, and others)
  • Support HR generalist activities, including onboarding, contracts, HR administration and management of HR Management System (SAP Employee Central)

 

About the Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience processing payroll for Australia, and exposure to New Zealand payroll
  • SAP and Key Pay experience ideal
  • Qualifications in HR, Business or a similar degree
  • High IT competency, including Advanced Excel Skills
