Materials Planner

Job Summary: As part of the Coherent multidisciplinary team which develops Optical Networking equipment you will manage parts acquisition for multiple programs. This work covers oversight of materials for production of systems and for research and development of those systems. You will maintain bills of material, work on procurement of long lead parts for production; and procurement of components and equipment needed for development work. Scope covers tracking of materials ordered, including monitoring customs, tracking lead times and delivery dates. You will have ongoing interactions with engineering to understand required material, with supply chain management and production to identify suppliers, and with suppliers to obtain quotes and technical specifications of components.
