The National Account Manager will perform the following duties:
• Manage customer relationships by developing regular communications with key customer personnel. Respond promptly to all complaints from customer and follow up to ensure problem resolution. Work with National Account Rep(s) to maintain order guides, customer reporting.
• Act as liaison between customer and company to work out details regarding services, promotions, products and issues which may arise.
• Attend customer functions, industry trade shows, etc., in an effort to secure positive relations with customer(s).
• Communicate/coordinate as the primary channel of communication between various departments, including purchasing, information technology, accounting, etc.
• Promote customer profitability by retaining and growing accounts and maintaining profitability. This may include, but is not limited to managing dead and slow inventory, accounts receivable/deposits, unrealistic service requests and balanced loads, etc.
• Support inventory management by working with brokers and supplier reps to keep up with customer's needs. Work with purchasing to ensure products needed to serve multi-unit customers are ordered in timely manner.
• Work cross-functionally within Vistar to coordinate product changes, requirements, etc. with purchasing and operations. Work closely with purchasing and operations to achieve goals of no dead stock, damaged goods, or out of stock items. Respond to problems with inventory as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned
Travel is normally about 30%, can vary.
Candidates in Knoxville, or in the Southeast part of the country are preferred. Candidates in CST or in Denver market will also be considered. The National Account Manager will perform the following duties:
