Summary:
We are looking for a Workday Payroll Process Lead reporting to Service Delivery Leader, India with extensive functional expertise in UK payroll processes. As Workday Payroll Lead, you will provide subject matter expertise in the maintenance, and optimization of Workday Payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payroll operations compliant with UK statutory requirements. You will act as the key point of contact for payroll process improvements, issue resolution, and system enhancements, working closely with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead/support the UK payroll process within Workday, ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution in compliance with statutory and company policies.
- Serve as the functional subject matter expert on all aspects of Workday Payroll for the UK, driving process standardization and best practices.
- Maintain, and optimize Workday Payroll modules to meet business needs and legislative requirements.
- Manage and coordinate regular payroll cycles, year-end activities, and statutory reporting.
- Oversee payroll integrations with finance and HR systems, ensuring data integrity and reconciliation across platforms.
- Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement and automation within Workday Payroll and related payroll processes.
- Work collaboratively with HR, Finance, People Services, and IT teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and data flows.
- Lead or participate in system upgrades, testing, and payroll-related projects as required.
- Ensure data privacy and compliance with GDPR and all UK statutory requirements in payroll processing.
- Deliver training and support to payroll and HR teams on new functionality, processes, or system changes within Workday Payroll.
- Prepare and validate payroll reports, metrics, and audit documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of expertise in Workday Payroll administration and functional configuration (Workday Payroll certifications preferred), Hands-on experience in UK payroll operations.
- Deep understanding of UK payroll legislation, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience managing payroll processes in a large or complex organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Solid communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience liaising between technical and non-technical teams.
- Proficiency in Workday reporting and payroll integrations.
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.
