Job Description
The Jardines Sustainability team is responsible for shaping and advancing Jardines’ portfolio‑wide sustainability agenda, working across a diverse group of market‑leading businesses operating in multiple sectors and geographies across Asia. The team focuses on integrating sustainability considerations into business strategy, capital allocation, risk management, and long‑term value creation. The team enjoys broad exposure across our portfolio, end‑to‑end ownership of workstreams, and close collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Role Description
Support portfolio-wide ESG data collection, consolidation, validation, and analysis, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and proper documentation
Assist in developing and maintaining analytical models and tools to support sustainability performance tracking against internal targets, regulatory requirements, and external benchmarks
Perform trend, variance, and driver analysis of ESG data to identify sustainability risks, opportunities, and performance gaps across portfolio companies
Support sustainability reporting and disclosure projects, including reviewing data quality, calculations, assumptions, and methodologies, using data-driven findings to develop narrative disclosures
Support sustainability-related risk management and resilience activities, including identification and assessment of climate and nature risks and opportunities across the portfolio
Assist in climate and nature resilience and scenario analysis efforts, including analysis of climate and nature exposure, vulnerabilities, and potential impacts across the portfolio
Contribute to drafting sustainability-related materials (e.g. reports, presentations, working group meetings)
Coordinate and support engagement with portfolio companies and internal stakeholders
Conduct research on sustainability-related regulations, standards, and market developments, and support continuous improvement of data collection processes and reporting practices
Perform other administrative and support tasks as required
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, finance, accounting, economics, data analytics, or a related discipline
- 3–5 years of relevant working experience in sustainability, environment, finance, consulting, risk, or a related field
- Experience working with data analysis and cross-functional stakeholders is desirable
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work with datasets and calculations, and clearly explain data, assumptions, and analytical results to non-technical audiences
- Proactive self-starter with a growth mindset; collaborative team player
- Well-organised and able to manage multiple tasks in a structured manner
- Familiarity with GHG accounting, sustainability reporting frameworks, climate-related analysis, and/or ESG ratings is an advantage
- Exposure to financial analysis, scenario analysis, and/or environmental modelling is an advantage
- Strong written and spoken English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage
