Consultancy Team Manager – Professional Services
Join MRI Software as a Consultancy Team Manager and play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality implementation, transformation and advisory services across our Social Housing client base.
You’ll lead and develop a team of consultants, ensuring consistent delivery standards, strong client outcomes and high levels of engagement across all projects.
Working in close partnership with UK-based Professional Services leaders, you will be responsible for translating delivery priorities into high-quality execution locally – ensuring alignment to agreed approaches, standards and outcomes while providing strong on-the-ground leadership and support for your team.

Key responsibilities:
- Team leadership and development:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of consultants to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives and support ongoing professional development.
- Delivery oversight and quality:
- Ensure consultancy engagements are delivered to agreed scope, time and budget.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and consistent delivery standards.
- Escalation and client management:
- Act as the escalation point for consultancy-related issues, working collaboratively to resolve challenges.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, gathering feedback and ensuring services evolve to meet expectations.
- Resource planning and utilisation:
- Monitor project pipelines and resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilisation and forward planning.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Operations and PMO teams on scheduling, governance and reporting.
- Work closely with UK-based Professional Services managers to align delivery priorities, ensuring consistent execution, standards and outcomes across all engagements.
- Continuous improvement and delivery excellence:
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement across delivery practices, tools and templates.
- Embed best practice frameworks to improve consistency and efficiency.
- Recruitment and capability development:
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training of consultants.
- Ensure team capability and capacity align with current and future business needs.
- Commercial and strategic contribution:
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting and performance tracking for the consultancy function.
- Support development of new service offerings and go-to-market initiatives with Sales and Product teams.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing consultancy or professional services teams within software or technology environments
- Strong understanding of software implementation and transformation delivery lifecycles.
- Experience in client-facing roles, delivering measurable outcomes and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Commercial awareness, with experience managing utilisation, forecasts and budgets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external audiences.
- Organised and resilient, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
