  • Pay range is $81,000 - $115,000/yr, depending on experience, qualifications, and professional certifications

The Logistics Operations Leader is responsible for driving safe and efficient logistics operations. This role leads daily execution across safety, quality, service, productivity, housekeeping, and team performance to ensure reliable, cost-effective operations.

This role also drives continuous improvement and optimization initiatives that reduce waste, improve flow, strengthen asset and labor utilization, and deliver sustainable gains in performance, service, and cost. The ideal candidate brings strong operational leadership, disciplined project execution, and a mindset focused on long-term improvement.

  • Lead day-to-day logistics operations with a strong focus on safety, service, operational efficiency, and cost performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts that improve flow, reduce waste, optimize labor and asset utilization, and strengthen operational reliability.

  • Champion a safety-first culture by leading risk assessments, near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-through.

  • Coordinate safety training, audits, and compliance activities in partnership with Safety and Quality teams.

  • Lead, sustain, and continuously improve 5S standards across logistics areas through regular audits, action plans, and team engagement.

  • Analyze and optimize the use of material handling equipment, dock doors, storage locations, and warehouse space to improve throughput and reduce inefficiencies.

  • Manage the master work schedule to align labor resources with operational priorities, customer demand, and plant needs.

  • Serve as a liaison between planning and logistics operations to improve coordination, communication, and execution of daily and weekly priorities.

  • Support long-range planning, departmental objectives, and site initiatives in partnership with the Logistics Manager and other site leaders.

  • Develop team capability through coaching, training, accountability, and employee engagement efforts that reinforce a culture of ownership and continuous development.

  • Maintain high standards for housekeeping, working conditions, and equipment stewardship while ensuring inventories of parts, materials, and supplies are controlled to the lowest practical level.

  • Review and approve direct reports’ time daily to ensure payroll accuracy, positive employee experience, and accurate financial reporting.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing, logistics, or operations leadership experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.

  • Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives that improve productivity, service, cost, or workflow efficiency.

  • Strong leadership, communication, planning, and cross-functional coordination skills.

  • Experience using data, performance measures, and structured problem solving to drive operational results.
