1st Shift Brake Press Operator – Class B
Location: American ProductsShift: Tuesday - Friday: 5:30am-3:30pmPay: 19-20/hr
About the Role
We’re hiring a Class B Brake Press Operator to support our metal fabrication team. In this role, you’ll operate brake press equipment to bend, shape, and form metal parts according to production specifications. This position is ideal for someone with basic mechanical aptitude who wants to grow their skills and advance within the department.
What You’ll Do
Operate brake press machines to bend and form metal parts
Load/unload materials and ensure proper alignment
Inspect parts for accuracy, quality, and specification compliance
Perform routine machine maintenance and report issues
Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
Document production details and material usage
Collaborate with team members to meet goals and deadlines
What You Need
Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred (not required)
Experience & Knowledge
Basic mechanical aptitude
Understanding of brake press operations preferred
Ability to read blueprints/work orders (training provided)
Strong attention to detail
Basic math skills helpful but not required
Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow

Physical Requirements
Stand/walk for extended periods
