Job Description
Lighting Specialists work closely with contractors to fully understand their projects lighting needs. As knowledgeable sales professionals, they provide expert recommendations and solutions that help customers achieve successful project outcomes.
- Drive sales through proactive customer engagement, suggestive selling, and strong product knowledge.
- Identify, clarify, and understand customer needs to guide them toward the best product and project solutions.
- Expand sales by developing new contractor relationships and strengthening existing accounts.
- Prepare lighting designs for residential, custom, and commercial projects
- Take initiative and confidently lead customer interactions from start to finish.
- Stay current on new products, industry trends, and market conditions.
- Maintain high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
- Resolve customer challenges quickly, effectively, and with a solutions-focused approach.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience at every interaction.
- Strong background in sales and customer service.
- A proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Experience in interior design is considered an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn new software tools.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Knowledge of construction process is considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (bilingual in French/English considered an asset).
