Position Overview
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale, multitenant environments centered on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role operates across the full lifecycle of cloud-based services—including infrastructure, application development, testing, and operations—ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient integration of enterprise applications on multitenancy as appropriate. The engineer supports customer-specific extensions, manages data migration and DevOps processes for Oracle platforms, and ensures security compliance aligned with DoD 8140 intermediate certification standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer-focused role, providing comprehensive Oracle EBS services to support multiple client’s users.
- Design and implement enterprise-scale, multitenant environments centered on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), ensuring scalable architecture that supports multiple customers and their interface trading partners within a shared enclave.
- Architect, deploy, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, including multitenant configurations with appropriate resource isolation, scalability planning, and cost optimization strategies.
- Develop and extend Oracle EBS customizations including forms, workflows, and integrations to meet customer-specific functional requirements while maintaining system integrity and upgradeability.
- Build and manage service-oriented integrations and workflows using Oracle SOA Suite, ensuring seamless data flow between Oracle applications and third-party systems across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Lead data migration strategies, tooling, and validation efforts for transitioning enterprise applications to cloud environments, ensuring data quality, completeness, and minimal business disruption.
- Implement and manage Cloud DevOps practices within Oracle Customer Experience (CX) Cloud, including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automation frameworks for rapid product deployment.
- Administer Oracle Database environments with focus on performance tuning, data modeling, and optimization to support high-volume, high-availability enterprise operations.
- Apply enterprise security practices aligned with CompTIA Security+ or equivalent standards, including access control, vulnerability management, and compliance monitoring across all Oracle cloud and application layers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise application engineering, cloud architecture, or systems development with focus on Oracle technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) customization, extension, and administration in production environments.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) architecture, deployment models, and multitenant environment management.
- Experience with Oracle SOA Suite for building integrations and workflows, and Oracle Database administration including performance tuning.
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8140 intermediate-level qualification (e.g., CompTIA CySA+, Cisco CCNA Security, GIAC GSEC, GIAC GICSP, ISC2 SSCP); if not currently held, must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Secret or Top-Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one or have at least completed T5 investigation.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced certifications in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Database, or Oracle Application development.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks for Oracle Customer Experience Cloud or similar enterprise platforms.
- Prior work in multitenant cloud architectures with emphasis on security, compliance, and performance optimization for federal or highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with data migration methodologies and tools for large-scale enterprise application transitions, including ETL processes and data validation frameworks.
