Job Description
- Work with the Research, Engineering, Facilities and Safety teams, concept-out testing hardware, systems, environments and fixtures to enable effective testing and reliable data-collection.
- Lead the transition of a research goal into an industrialized concept that can be prototyped and manufactured in a testing laboratory environment.
- Create detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and bill of materials (BOM) for testing and development systems and structures.
- Design and implement assembly fixtures, calibration rigs, and automated test equipment for our data collection and hardware development laboratories.
- Partner with vendors to resolve technical challenges and extended workforce testing/development/fabrication needs.
