Manufacturing Team Leader (Preparation & Cleaning)

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Manufacturing Team Leader to join the team based out of Wagga Wagga, New South Wales! You will have exposure over both Day Shift & Night Shift operations in a high impact leadership position, on an pleasant 3x day weekly routine.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Lead safe shift execution by ensuring all team members follow site safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), walkway rules, and safe work practices
Promote a strong safety culture by calling out unsafe behaviours, coaching on the spot, and escalating risks before incidents occur
Own food safety and quality standards by ensuring hygiene, housekeeping, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements are consistently followed
Identify and reduce quality risks by spotting potential issues early, preventing defects, and helping minimise complaints and rework
Coordinate preparation and cleaning activities to keep operations running smoothly while meeting safety and quality expectations
Ensure only compliant product is made by preventing non-conforming product from being prepared or released within the factory
Support audits and continuous improvement forums by participating in internal audits, food safety committees, and sanitary design activities
Manage shift-to-shift communication by sharing key updates between morning and night shifts and closing gaps in training and standards adherence
Run daily operational rhythm and escalation by facilitating shift meetings, reviewing the last 24 hours’ performance, and escalating support needs quickly
Drive performance and problem-solving by recording downtime, improving throughput and OEE, reducing waste/top losses, and leading root-cause investigations (e.g., 5 Whys/RCFA)
About you:
Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and similar databases.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to uplift others and collaborate effectively.
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft products.
Forklift license with F Endorsement (Preferred)
Eligibility to work in Australia – with full working rights.
