The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking Electrician associates to work in our tomato paste, pizza sauce, salsa, peeled pear canned tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, tomato puree, and tomato sauce production area in Escalon, CA.  Ideal candidates must be safety and quality driven. Candidates must be able to work in a team in a fast paced work environment.  This position requires individuals to perform general production duties during warmer climates in a food manufacturing environment during the months of July through October.  Current shifts:  First shift (6AM-2:00PM), Second shift (2PM-10PM), and third shift (10PM-6AM). Shift determination to be discussed.

  • Starting Pay $41.00/hour

Work Schedule: 

  • Monday-Sunday during the months of July- October 
  • Monday-Friday during the months of November-June 
  • Schedule 2:00PM – 10:00PM or 10:00PM – 6:00AM 
  • Overtime may be available based on business need 

Job Overview: 

ELECTRICIAN – CLASS A

Responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial electrical equipment to ensure continuous operation and compliance with safety and quality standards. A “journey-level” position, fully qualified and trained with significant experience, capable of working independently. 

Under the direction of a Head Electrician or Lead Electrician, may perform electrical maintenance as assigned within an overall facility, or within a designated operational department. 

Primary Duties

1.    Qualify as a journey-level Electrician – Class B (MIV).
2.    Communicate effectively and work closely with Head and/or Lead Electricians and other maintenance professionals to align maintenance and repair efforts with production goals or facility-specific needs.
3.    Perform and oversee routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
4.    Diagnose electrical issues, identify root causes of failures, and implement effective solutions to restore functionality quickly and efficiently. 
5.    Under the direction of a Head or Lead Electrician, may lead, mentor, train, and supervise Mechanics within a department or maintenance function, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring quality of work.

Secondary Duties

1.    Ensure adherence to safety protocols, verifying compliance with applicable standards.
2.    Provide guidance and training to other (journey-level and non-journey-level) Electricians, fostering skill development and promoting best practices.
3.    Identify opportunities to enhance maintenance procedures, recommend upgrades or adjustments to equipment, and contribute to overall operational efficiency. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Ability to work flexible schedule, i.e., 7 days a week. 
  • 5+ years of electrical experience.
