Summer Enrichment Teacher (CMS)

Position Title:            Summer Enrichment Teacher         (one position available) 
Primary Function:    To assume all responsibilities as a Teacher

Schedule:

• Camp runs 8 am - 3 pm for 3 weeks in July at Charlestown Middle School
• Two days of planning/prep prior to camp

 Salary:       

• $50/hr for planning days  (two 7.5 hr days)
• $30/hr for camp days (eight 7.5 hr days)

 The "Learning Blade" programs for enrichment integrate STEM, CS, and CTE concepts, by utilizing engaging, student-centered STEM career exploration activities for grades 5-9.  These activities will enhance student understanding of math and science concepts as well as provide background knowledge and experiences that will build student confidence and interest in their education.
Teachers will facilitate the camp challenge  by teaching problem-solving strategies that can be utilized for the camp, as well as later in the school year. 

The teachers and paraprofessional who facilitate the summer enrichment camp will also benefit from the training and implementation of hands-on activities during the camp by equipping them with a variety of additional lesson plans, activities, and hands-on experiences they can utilize or adapt for other content.
