Full-time CT Technologist AHI Myrtle Beach - 1103 48th Ave North Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 This new outpatient imaging center is scheduled to open in August 2026. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Lumexa Imaging partner American Health Imaging is looking for a registered CT Technologist for a full-time position in Myrtle Beach, SC. As a registered CT Technologist, you will perform high quality scans while providing excellent customer care and service to patients.    Responsibilities: Perform CT examinations as ordered and accurately critique images to ensure diagnostic quality.   Choose appropriate protocol and technical factors according to age, size and symptoms of patient   Provide thorough explanation of procedure to the patient, anticipating and responding to patients’ needs and questions   Position patients appropriately for ordered exam and assist patients on/off examination table as needed.   Monitor patients during exam   Verify patient information and obtain comprehensive medical history including any related prior studies   Obtain consent for administration of IV contrast and follow established practices to provide treatment, documentation and follow-up in the case of any adverse effects of IV contrast administration   Perform venipuncture for administration of IV contrast   Prepare and administer contrast media according to established practices   Utilize scanner within manufacture guidelines and take appropriate action for service as needed   Utilize PACS and RIS for image processing and accurate documentation   Maintain clear and safe environment, which includes preparing room for each patient   Perform daily and monthly QA procedures on scanner   Follow ALARA principles, Image Gently and Image Wisely to insure safe radiation practices.   Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations   Initiate basic life support actions when necessary   Use infection control practices   Maintain punctuality and regular attendance   All other duties as assigned     Qualifications:  Graduate of approved program for Radiological Technology  ARRT and CT Registry required  Current BLS/CPR training  CT scanner operation and training   CT anatomy and knowledge of medical terminology   Knowledge of operation system of CT scanner, RIS and PACS   Basic proficiency with computer monitors, keyboard and mouse for scanning, RIS and PACS use   Organized, detail oriented, observant   Calm and effective communicator   Helpful, patient and sympathetic    Desired Skills Customer service skills Time Management/Organized Extrovert Patience Versatility to juggle multiple tasks Physical Demands of the Position Lifting/moving patients, positioning the patients Assisting patients on and off table and into a wheelchair, when required Sitting 50% of shift, standing 10% of shift and walking 40% of shift Robust Benefits include: Medical / Dental / Vision / Life / Pharmacy Plans, with Benefits effective first day of the month following hire date! 401(k) company contribution Monthly bonus opportunity Paid Vacation Time PTO Accrual Beginning Day 1 Colleague Referral Bonus Program The American Health philosophy is to bring together state of the art equipment, the most qualified radiologists in the community, and superior customer service for the referring physicians, patient, and payors to provide the best in outpatient radiology.
