Palmetto Market- Barista/Cashier

Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort is seeking an energetic and guest-focused Barista/Cashier to provide quick, efficient, and professional service to our guests. In this role, you will prepare specialty coffee beverages, process transactions, and ensure a welcoming and clean café environment that reflects Omni’s high standards of hospitality. Your friendly personality, attention to detail, and commitment to exceptional service will help create a positive and memorable experience for every guest. Responsibilities Guest Service & Operations Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to all guests Prepare and serve coffee beverages and food items according to established standards Accurately process guest transactions including cash, credit cards, and room charges Maintain a cash bank and follow proper cash handling procedures Verify guest room numbers when processing room charges Communicate effectively with guests and associates to ensure guest needs are met Address guest questions or concerns in a professional and timely manner Café & Work Area Maintenance Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, service areas, and equipment Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure lobby and public areas remain clean and presentable Follow all food safety and proper food handling procedures Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained properly Inventory & Administrative Support Assist with monthly inventory and stock control Adhere to company policies regarding employee purchases and transactions Interact with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction Qualifications Minimum 1 year of cash handling experience required Previous barista, café, or food & beverage experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain professional and positive in all situations Ability to listen, understand, and respond effectively to guest and team member concerns Understanding of proper uniform and grooming standards Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays Tools & Equipment Espresso machine and coffee brewing equipment Coffee pots and beverage machines Pizza oven and toaster Microwave and refrigeration equipment Bus trays, dishware, silverware, and glassware Telephone and point-of-sale system Standard office equipment (computer, printer, copier, telephone) Corporate software programs such as Kronos WFC, OpenTable, Synergy, and Epitome Why Work at Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort?
