Location - Surry Hills Permanent Part-time (Wed, Thu, Fri-Sat 28 hours per week) Pay rate – $36.05 per hour + superannuation Not-for-profit employer, so pay less tax! As a member of the team at Surry Hills, you will be providing essential lifestyle, social and wellbeing services for our residents.  About the Role: Encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities Assisting in the design, delivery and monitoring of group and individual lifestyle services and activities Implementing innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers and residents family and friends Provide direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, including assisting with personal hygiene and toileting Provide direct resident care in relation to meals service, mobility and social support Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures To be successful in this role you’ll need A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly Strong communication skills and a positive attitude Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support or similar Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families A reliable team player Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance What we can offer you Competitive hourly pay rate Not-for-profit tax benefits Fitness Passport gym benefit Paid parental leave Long service leave after 5 years Additional week of leave for Enterprise Agreement shift workers 40+ Locations across NSW and QLD if you decide to move A values based organisation that welcomes applicants from all faiths and backgrounds We know you have many choices of employer - choose Catholic Healthcare where you can make a positive impact and be well rewarded.
