
Senior Engineer
Job Description
· Functioning as a problem solver and technical interface between customer, service team, and engineering teams.
· Managing and processing warranty claims related to Train IT components and systems, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
· Analyzing vehicle logs, diagnostic data, and field feedback to identify root causes of failures.
· Coordinating corrective and preventive actions with design, software, and service teams.
· Supporting maintenance teams with technical expertise, documentation, and fault rectification guidelines.
· Conducting system tests, validation of fixes, and ensuring timely resolution of customer issues.
· Assisting in upgrades, retrofits, and software updates during service phase.
· Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting warranty data to identify trends, recurring issues, and areas for product improvement
· Generating comprehensive warranty reports, including failure analysis results, cost implications, and recommendations for product enhancements.
· Identifying opportunities to streamline warranty processes, improve efficiency, and reduce warranty costs
· Participating in FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and other reliability engineering activities
Work Experience
· Bachelor’s degree/diploma in engineering such as communications engineering/ telecommunications or comparable
· Experience in troubleshooting and warranty. Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Railway domain.
· Good understanding of maintenance practices, customer support processes, and documentation.
· Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and system architecture.
· Experience in analyzing diagnostic data, fault logs, troubleshooting and warranty handling.
· Familiarity with communication protocols such as TRDP, MVB, WTB, Ethernet.
