The Land Payments Analyst is responsible for facilitating all Land related payments outside of direct royalty disbursements. This position will play a critical role as we continue building out the broader Land organization at Crescent. This position reports to the Land Administration Supervisor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor monthly payment calendars to ensure records are reviewed and updated prior to Landmen recommendations.

  • Determine and calculate minimum royalty obligations; Ensure recommendations are submitted timely to Landmen for approval.

  • Determine and calculate shut-in payment obligations; Ensure recommendations are submitted timely to Landmen for approval.

  • Assist in the calculation of throughput-based payments (pull volumes systematically, reach out to field personnel as necessary).

  • Create requests for AP to process non-calendar Land payments.

  • Track payments from Land approvals through to counterparty receipt of funds.

  • Coordinate physical checks printed and returned to Houston office for supplemental cover letters and attachments.

  • Support compliance and regulatory reporting as requested.

  • Assist with year-end escheat activities.

  • Assist with identifying and updating payees to reflect current ownership.

Required Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy Commerce, PLM, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in upstream land administration or similar roles.

  • Working knowledge of land agreements and lease provisions in the oil and gas industry.

  • Experience working with large data sets and land management systems (SAP, Enverus, LandVantage, Quorum, or similar).

  • Prior experience with SUAs and ROWs a plus.
