Your Role as a Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will provide skilled therapy services in patients’ homes under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Your care will help patients regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities safely.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide occupational therapy treatments according to the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist patients with improving activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and safety strategies
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Document visits efficiently using AI-assisted EMR tools

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
- Active, unencumbered Florida COTA license
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- CPR certification
- Home health experience preferred but not required
