Description
At Confluence, we’ve always been driven by a commitment to innovation, precision, and partnership in the investment data space. More about the role & team
We’re a global fintech operating in a regulated technology environment, and we’re looking for a hands‑on HR Business Partner to support our North American business.
Working closely with the Lead HR Business Partner, this role is designed for an HR professional who already has exposure to core HR activities and is ready to step into broader HRBP responsibility over time. You’ll start with meaningful day‑to‑day involvement, while continuing to develop your confidence, judgment, and impact as an HR Business Partner within a global organisation.
- Provide hands‑on, day‑to‑day HR support to managers across North America, building trusted relationships as you develop in the role
- Support employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans, with guidance and escalation support for more complex cases
- Help managers interpret and apply HR policies consistently, building confidence in handling people matters
- Deliver onboarding support and contribute to workforce planning and HR reporting activities
- Work closely with the Lead HR Business Partner to learn from and support complex or higher‑risk employee matters
- Contribute to learning and development initiatives and the ongoing improvement of HR processes.
As you grow in the role, you’ll take on greater ownership and autonomy, expanding your exposure across employee relations, manager capability, and HR decision‑making within a regulated, international environment.
What skills and experience do I need to succeed?
- Around 3–6 years of experience in an HR Generalist or developing HR Business Partner role, with exposure to employee relations and performance management
- Experience supporting managers and employees with day‑to‑day HR matters, with a desire to deepen capability and confidence over time
- A practical, thoughtful approach to HR, with good judgment and an openness to learning
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
- Experience supporting a global workforce
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (Udemy experience is a plus)
- Exposure to organisational change, restructures, or workforce reductions
- Involvement in learning and development initiatives or leadership training
- Interest or exposure to AI in professional HR workflows
