SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate various types of presses, resistance welders, and other types of equipment to produce automobile seat frames. Additional roles and responsibilities are established in the responsibility sections of the EMS Documentation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and keep up to date on all SPC data used to maintain a high degree of Quality.
Record all production data needed for inventory control purposes including good parts, scrap parts, and any other data necessary.
Maintain a clean and safe working area including learning all safety techniques for any equipment being run.
Observe housekeeping, safety, quality, and production standards.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform any other duties as requested by shift supervisor.
Adhere to IATF16949 requirements.
Any duty requested by your supervisor.
AUTHORITY: Have the authority to stop production and report quality problems as necessary. Report unsafe work situations to supervisor. Has the authority for release of acceptable products. Authority to represent the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing IATF16949 requirements (e.g. selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives, training, corrective & preventive actions, product design and development).
ACCOUNTABILITY: Position is required to ensure all product that is produced meets quality standards, and that quality charts, traceability forms, and MRP forms are accurately completed. Accountable for productivity and housekeeping goals. To control further processing, delivery or instructions until problems are corrected.
RELATIONSHIPS: Associates must be able to clearly communicate tooling, maintenance, and any other needs to supervision.
WORK CONDITIONS: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and have adequate eyesight to visually inspect product.
